Deeply Rooted Clergy Support

The clergy of Deeply Rooted are not here to tell you what to believe. Instead, we help you shape your own spiritual path.

Creating Space for Growth

We create and hold space through:

  • Rituals that honor the Wheel of the Year

  • Inclusive specialty retreats for our members

  • Ongoing educational support

Instead of offering fixed interpretations, we provide resources like:

  • Reading lists

  • Websites

  • Other media

This way, you can explore and decide for yourself.

Our Clergy Team

Our clergy team includes both ordained individuals and those in training. This reflects the ongoing and demanding nature of this work.

While we are not mental health professionals, we are trusted community members. We listen with care and can help connect seekers with more therapeutic or clinical support when needed.

Our Clergy

  • An elderly man with glasses and a white beard wearing a white garment and gold jewelry, standing outdoors in a lush green forest.

    John Robinson (He/Him)

John Robinson was ordained in 2024 and is the newest member of our ordained clergy team. He brings a deep, study-rich background in Kemetic (ancient Egyptian) religion and practice. John is a gentle, caring soul who holds space for both emotional and spiritual growth, approaching his work with honesty, courage, and authenticity.

  • A smiling man with a missing tooth holding a large cooked pig's head outdoors in a forested area.

    Wade Mueller (He/Him)

Wade Mueller is the founder of Deeply Rooted Church and has spent the past 25 years quietly stewarding the land and community that grew around it. His primary spiritual study is Norse tradition, with a particular dedication to Tyr, the god of justice and right action.

As a Tyrsman, Wade focuses on teaching the value of oaths, maintaining frith, and working in partnership with the land itself. He approaches leadership with humility, practicality, and a deep commitment to service rather than spotlight.

  • A woman with long dark hair wearing large black headphones and layered necklaces, looking up with closed eyes outdoors against a partly cloudy sky and some trees.

    Quill (They / Them)

Shining Rayne Quillomena (“Quill”) has been part of Deeply Rooted Church for over thirteen years and joined the clergy team in 2018 after beginning formal training in 2016. They are a non-binary member of the LGBTQIAP+ community and an outspoken advocate for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and those navigating mental health challenges within Pagan spaces.

Quill’s spiritual path is rooted in Chaos Magick, with a particular passion for how adaptable, creative practice can support neurodivergent individuals in healing alongside therapeutic care. Their work emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and helping others reclaim their spiritual voice.

Board of Directors

Governance Structure

Deeply Rooted Church is governed by a Board of Directors elected entirely by our membership. Elections happen every two years. All members in good standing for at least one year can run for a board position. Each year, we also elect:

  • Caretaker Representative

  • Clergy Representative

This ensures that both the voices of those who tend the land and those who care for the spiritual life of the community are present. This structure creates a network of checks and balances between operations, spirituality, and off-grid stewardship.

Commitment to Transparency

Our Board of Directors operates with a strong commitment to transparency and accountability. All board meetings are open to the public. Members can review our financial records and other non-sensitive operational information.

During each meeting, we have a special time called "Words from the Membership." Here, community members can speak, share concerns, and offer ideas.

Committees

The board oversees several committees that carry out the ongoing work of the church, including:

  • Buildings & Grounds

  • Pagan Homeland

  • Gardens & Shrines

  • Clergy Council

  • Fundraising

  • Membership

  • Standard Operating Procedures & Bylaws

  • Communications (Social Media & Website)

  • Youth

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Deeply Rooted Church follows all IRS guidelines. We strive to model ethical and responsible governance in service to our members and the land we call home.
