Inclusivity & Safe-Space Consent Statement

Deeply Rooted Church

At Deeply Rooted Church, we honor the sacred worth of every person who steps onto our land. We are a teaching church, a sanctuary for Pagans of all paths, and a community devoted to learning, service, and stewardship. Our values call us to create a space where all who gather may do so with dignity, consent, and safety.

Inclusivity

We welcome practitioners and seekers from every tradition, identity, and background.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • LGBTQIAP+ community members

  • People of all races, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds

  • Neurodivergent and disabled individuals

  • All ages, family structures, and economic realities

  • Pagans of every experience level — from curious beginners to seasoned clergy

We believe that diverse voices strengthen our community and deepen the wisdom we share.

Consent Culture

Consent is a foundational pillar of how we practice at Deeply Rooted.
We uphold:

  • Clear verbal consent for touch, healing work, energy work, and physical closeness

  • Respectful boundaries around personal space, emotion, storytelling, and spiritual vulnerability

  • The right to decline participation without question or pressure

  • A commitment to confidentiality, honoring what is shared in ritual space

No one is ever expected to disclose trauma, personal history, or identity in order to belong here. Consent must be enthusiastic, informed, and revocable at any time.

Safe-Space Principles

To preserve the sanctity of our community and the land that holds us, we ask all who gather to:

  • Speak and act with honesty, integrity, and mutual respect

  • Avoid gossip, manipulation, or harmful conflict behaviors
(as even the shrines themselves respond to discord)

  • Practice active listening and compassionate communication

  • Ensure all interactions — physical, emotional, or spiritual — are consensual

  • Protect the land, wildlife, shrines, and one another

We uphold the right of clergy and caretakers to intervene if behaviors compromise safety, consent, or the well-being of the community.

Commitment to Learning

As a teaching church, we recognize that everyone is learning — about Paganism, about themselves, and about one another. Mistakes are part of the path. What matters is accountability, repair, and growth.

We encourage open dialogue, self-reflection, and humility as we walk the Wheel of the Year together.

Our Promise

Deeply Rooted is committed to creating a sanctuary where:

  • Your path is honored

  • Your identity is respected

  • Your boundaries are protected

  • Your presence is valued

By entering our sacred spaces, you join a community that believes in oaths, right action, reciprocity, and care for both land and people.

Together, we tend this place.
Together, we keep it safe.
Together, we remain Deeply Rooted!
